Thanks a million Nick for this wonderful poem you wrote for our little Lena.

Farewell Dear Lena

Farewell dear Lena, the years have gone by
The carnival's over, the face paint is dry
The laughter's no more, and all tears are in vain

Farewell dear Lena, destiny called you, the ferry has sailed
The tears fall again

The purple heather mountains, their crofts to the shore
A beautiful island maiden, so gentle, so pure
An angel like voice, in life’s tuneful refrain
Farewell dear Lena, the sky is forlorn, the sea is embarrassed
The tears fall again

You were so alone, in the dark empty night
Where the streetlamps and traffic lights, crush the starlight
And the promise of time passing holds a grey veil of pain
Farewell dear Lena, your smile is forsaken, the sun is ashamed
The tears fall again

Farewell dear Lena, your fans are so sad
O'er the roses and rainbows, that you never had
You are missed little darling, we’re lost in the rain
Farewell dear Lena, you’re so not forgotten, the brightest of stars
The tears fall again
